Nelly Lahoud – Umayma al-Zawahiri on Women’s Role in Jihad
I’m quite the fan of Nelly’s work and this piece is no exception. It is a really interesting analysis of Umayma al-Zawhairi’s advice.
What I really rate about Nelly’s work is the inclusion of important context that is so often left out of analysis. For example when analyzing the work of jihadi idealogues on the role of women Nelly places this not only in the context of history but also the terminology used by these ideologues.
Sometimes this is as important, if not more, than what it actually said.
