Al Qaeda’s US campaign
Ok, I’m becoming increasingly convinced this was part of a campaign. Najibullah Zazi (just arrested for the NYC plots) was training in Afghanistan at the same time Bryant Vinas (US citizen arrested in Pakistan in late 08) was there. See my earlier post speculating about the linkages between Vinas and this plot.
This is looking to me like scary de ja vu from London campaign in that it echoes exactly what we saw happen in the UK. One network (from people who went to Pakistan and who may or may not have known oneanother prior) spills over into another and another. This spill is either tactical carrythrough of plot ideas or actual networks. How do we say edge of network connections.
